Staffordshire Ambassador Event

The Staffordshire Ambassador Network brings organisations and individuals together across the county to put Staffordshire on the map. We have an amazing story to tell, and such a lot to be proud of, but we all need to talk the place up, celebrate our successes; together we need to act as ambassadors for Staffordshire and get our story out there.

For our next event, we’ll be celebrating both National Careers Week and Love Colleges Week and Staffordshire as the place to meet the skills need of the future.

Staffordshire already has an enterprising, resilient, and inclusive economy. But the county recognises the importance of skills for employment and the need to support people into work, so businesses can access the skills and talent they need to diversify and grow.

Join us at Newcastle and Stafford College Group’s Skills and Innovation Centre in Stafford, where we’ll be hearing from representatives from education and business to discuss the importance of the green skills agenda and how Staffordshire can build and retain talent. We’ll also be finding out more about the new Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Institute of Technology and some of the other exciting capital projects happening across the county.

We’ll be exploring:

  • Green skills – the need to decarbonise the way we live provides green growth opportunities. How do we maximise the benefits for Staffordshire?
  • The young workforce: how to appeal to young people and retain them – the value of work experience and apprenticeships.
  • Future investment in further education: capital projects in Staffordshire
