NSCG Newcastle College welcomes record numbers to first Open Event of the academic year
Just under 4000 eager students and their families attended Newcastle College’s first Open Event of the academic year on Wednesday, to find out for themselves what makes NSCG Staffordshire’s leading college.
Visitors were able to explore the college’s top-class facilities, chat with teaching staff and hear from NSCG’s Principal Craig Hodgson. There was also had the opportunity to speak with current students to hear more about the support and enrichment activities available to learners at Newcastle College.
The ‘Class of 24’ once again outperformed national benchmarks with a 99.3% A Level pass rate of which 85% achieved grades A* – C and a 99% pass rate from those who completed a BTEC Extended Diploma with 74% of students achieving grades DMM or above, which is equivalent to three A* – B grades at A-level.
At NSCG learners can study every type of post-16 qualification, including A Levels, T-Levels, a full range of Vocational courses and apprenticeships. Higher Education and part-time adult learning courses are also available to study in wide range of subject areas.
