Stone Street Food and Stone Sunday Series events are back in town in 2024!

The team behind the popular Stone Street Food and Stone Sunday Series events is celebrating having recently agreed another fantastic calendar of High Street happenings for the year ahead.

A joint venture between organisers of The Stone Food & Drink Festival and Stone Traders Group, the purpose of these non-profit events is to support the High Street by regularly bringing visitors into the town centre.
This year, the ever-popular Stone Street Food events will move from a Thursday to a Friday evening, with the blessing of town centre bars and restaurants.

They will take place in the High Street from 3pm-9pm on the third Friday of every month – namely Friday 17th May; 21st June; 19th July; 16th August; 20th September & 18th October. As well as many well-known favourites, a number of new street food traders have expressed interest in being part of the enticing range of global flavours on offer.

Stone Sunday Series, meanwhile, sees the High Street taken over by several themed events throughout the year. This year’s programme sees the return of the hit Four Wheel Fest on Sunday 12th May, with a broader Transport Festival on Sunday 15th September seeing buses, tractors, cars, bikes and (hopefully) steam engines displayed in town. A Family Halloween Festival on Sunday 27th October will include dance school demonstrations, children’s entertainment and activities and more spooky fun with the festive fun of the town’s two Christmas markets on Sunday 17th November and Sunday 8th December completing the line-up.

Stone Traders’ Group spokesperson Ed Stant said:

“We are hugely excited to once again be working with The Stone Food & Drink Festival to bring a great series of events to the High Street. The impact of events like these cannot be underestimated – the visitors they bring into the town centre provides a much-needed boost to our local businesses in what continues to be very challenging times. We’re delighted with the move of the Street Food events to a Friday evening with the support of our local food & drink businesses – we hope that this will allow even more visitors to join us for what has always been a bustling event.”
