Five new business advisors have been appointed to support ambitious entrepreneurs across Staffordshire.
Cannock Chase Council, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, South Staffordshire Council, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Tamworth Borough Council have joined forces with Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub, to provide expert help to support SMEs in the local areas.
Experienced business coaches Jayne Egerton, Richard Carty, Sandra Nixon, Rachel Till and Richard Wood have taken up the roles, which are supported by the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
In the north of the county, Rachel Till has been appointed to carry out a contract for the delivery of work across Newcastle-under-Lyme and Sandra Nixon will be supporting businesses in the Staffordshire Moorlands area.
In the south, Richard Carty will be working across the Cannock Chase area, Jayne Egerton will be supporting business in Tamworth and Richard Wood will operate across South Staffordshire.
Sarah Simpson, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub spokesperson, said: “The appointments are one of a series of initiatives and programmes delivered with UKSPF, which have been developed to help businesses thrive.
“By joining forces with Cannock Chase Council, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, South Staffordshire Council, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Tamworth Borough Council, we have been able to create a window of opportunity for businesses in the local areas to access this additional expert support.”
