New HQ location as multi award-winning business water retailer Water Plus invests further in Staffordshire
Water Plus, the UK’s largest business water retailer, has made a multi-million pound investment in its new headquarters site.
Water Plus’s investment in its new headquarters, in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, aligns with its mission to help businesses and public sector sites cut costs, while driving sustainability by delivering reductions in carbon emissions linked to the water used at businesses.
Through the company’s Be Wise On Water campaign, customer sites have seen an impressive 39% average reduction in water consumption identified, new figures show – which would save millions of litres in estimated water use, over a year – and cut thousands of pounds off utility costs.
The water efficiencies were found at sites which included businesses in Staffordshire, with 45 locations in Staffordshire seeing water saving visits.
Water Plus said its team, including its Key Account Managers who work with larger water users and manufacturers in England and Scotland, were also helping customers to reduce running costs in 2025.
Their customer engagement is also highlighting more steps businesses can take to reduce impacts of wholesaler price increases for water, which will be included in water bills from April 2025.
Businesses and public sector sites are also moving back to Water Plus in increased numbers, the business water retailer said.
In 2025 alone, more than 340 sites have already signed on with Water Plus to optimise their water use and are seeing savings on their running costs. Between February and March, 2025, it also increased the number of overall customer supply points it provides water retail services for by more than 1,300.****
Jason Scagell, Chief Executive of Water Plus, said: “Our new office site is much more than just a headquarters – it provides a great space for collaboration, allowing us to work more effectively together and deliver even greater benefits and experiences for our customers. We are proud of the significant water savings we have already achieved, with savings of 37% and higher found on some of our customers’ estimated water use, in the last year – and we look forward to continuing to help businesses reduce running costs through smarter water and energy management.*
“It’s a new and exciting phase for our business and sees a long-term commitment to Stoke-on-Trent, maintaining our presence in the city – since we established our headquarters here in 2016.”
Water Plus’s new headquarters in Trentham Lakes represents a 10-year commitment to Stoke-on-Trent.
By housing all teams under one roof, Water Plus is enhancing internal collaboration and improving the customer experience. It will also support the company’s customer engagement and expanding its technical water saving services it provides across England and Scotland.
And the enhancements being delivered for customers has seen it recognised as the only water retailer to be Finalists in three categories in the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards in 2025, run by the Institute of Customer Service – who highlight best practice customer service leaders.
The move is also expected to further strengthen relationships with businesses and public sector customers who are already receiving help from the company’s water-saving solutions.
Additionally, the company is taking bold steps to reduce its own carbon emissions – alongside its move to a more energy efficient building, at its new location – while helping customers achieve their decarbonisation targets.
