East Staffordshire Businesses Celebrate Success At Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards

Businesses in Staffordshire’s tourism and hospitality industry were celebrated at the prestigious Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards on Thursday 20th March 2025.

The event held at the Doubletree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent, brought together industry leaders for an evening of recognition and celebration, with winners announced across 20 categories.

East Staffordshire businesses have once again shone, taking home a wide selection of awards, a true testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion.

Hoar Cross Hall Hotel & Spa continues to set the standard for excellence, securing multiple awards. The award winning spa hotel was awarded GOLD in the Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism Award, recognising its commitment to eco-friendly practices and responsible tourism.

Adding to its success, Hoar Cross Hall took home SILVER in the Large Hotel of the Year category, a testament to its outstanding hospitality, luxurious accommodation, and impeccable service.

The Serenity Spa Stay experience also earned a BRONZE for Experience of the Year, highlighting its exceptional wellness offerings and tranquil retreats.

Lowe’s on Carter Street, a rising star in Uttoxeter’s dining scene, made a spectacular debut at the awards. The restaurant was awarded GOLD for New Tourism Business of the Year, proving itself as a must-visit destination for food lovers.

Their commitment to excellent service and teamwork was also recognised, earning them another GOLD for Team of the Year.

Additionally, Lowe’s secured a BRONZE in the Taste of England, Restaurant of the Year category, further cementing its place as one of Staffordshire’s top dining spots.

Located in the charming village of Ellastone, Walnut House at The Duncombe Arms was named GOLD winner for Small Serviced Accommodation of the Year. This prestigious award highlights the property’s luxurious yet intimate setting, attention to detail, and commitment to providing an unforgettable guest experience.

The Duncombe Arms, already renowned as one of Staffordshire’s finest gastropubs, added another accolade to its name with a SILVER award for Pub of the Year. Recognised for its outstanding atmosphere, quality cuisine, and exceptional service, the award reinforces its reputation as a must-visit venue for food and drink enthusiasts.

Nelson’s Distillery & School secured two prestigious awards, further establishing itself as a top-tier experience in Staffordshire. David Hunter, a key figure at the distillery, was honoured with GOLD in the Unsung Hero Award, recognising his dedication and contributions to the industry.

The Distillery Experience also earned a SILVER in the Experience of the Year category, celebrating the hands-on, immersive gin-making and tasting experiences that visitors enjoy.

Denstone Hall Farm Café, a beloved destination for homemade treats and locally sourced produce, was awarded BRONZE in the Taste of England – Tea Room & Coffee Shop of the Year category. This recognition highlights its commitment to quality, sustainability, and delivering an authentic farm-to-table experience.

Winners from 14 categories will now represent Staffordshire at the national Visit England Awards for Excellence, set to take place at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange on 4th June 2025.
