THE ORANGE TREE NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME TO UNDERGO REFURBISHMENT

The Orange Tree, one of Newcastle-Under-Lyme’s most-loved dining destinations, is set to temporarily close its doors on Sunday 27th April as it embarks on a refurbishment. The restaurant and bar will reopen with a VIP night on Friday 23rd May with the official opening from Saturday 24th May. Fans of the restaurant will have the opportunity to win tickets to the official launch night, with details on how to enter being released in the coming weeks.

Parogon Group are investing over 300k in this refurbishment which will see the venue reimagined with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic while retaining the warm atmosphere guests know and love. At the heart of the transformation is the recently launched grill menu, with a focus on premium steak dishes designed to impress.

On the updated menu guests can enjoy an array of 30-day dry-aged Grass Fed Select Breed and Black Angus cuts. The menu has also been updated to include a selection of large cuts such as the Boston Rib Steak and Tomahawk Steak, available in a selection of weights purchased from a local butcher daily. Perfect for sharing between two, the Grill Plate Sharer features a British Boneless Chicken Escalope, Treacle-Glazed Pork Strip, Cornish Lamb T-Bone and Sweet Maple Cured Bacon Ribeye.

Vegetarian options haven’t been overlooked, with dishes like the Hot Honey Halloumi & Pineapple Skewer and Smoked Aubergine Parmo bringing bold, smoky flavours to the table.

The re-opening brings with it the re-invigoration of Friday nights in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. Guests can now enjoy a complementary glass of house wine with any grill dish and there will be live DJs and singers performing 7:30pm-11:30pm every Friday.

The Orange Tree opened in 2013 and has long been a hotspot and popular destination amongst locals. Its sister venue, which opened in Congleton in 2023, is also known for its stylish interiors, creative cocktails, and quality food.

Rich Colclough, Managing Director says “We’re so excited to give The Orange Tree Newcastle the refresh it deserves. This refurbishment is about continuing to provide an elevated experience for our guests, from stunning interiors to menus menu built around exceptional local meat & produce. We can’t wait to share our new look with both new and familiar faces once we re-open!”
