Shugborough Estate Brings Christmas Magic to Staffordshire in 2025

Shugborough Estate is inviting Staffordshire families to step into a festive world of history, storytelling and seasonal charm as Christmas at Shugborough returns from 28 November to 23 December 2025. The much loved National Trust property will once again transform its Mansion, Servants’ Quarters and farm into a celebration of traditional Christmas memories.

Throughout the Mansion, rooms will be beautifully dressed to recreate the story of a classic Christmas Day, reflecting traditions of festive food, gifting and games. In the Servants’ Quarters and across the estate visitors will discover playful touches including the elves’ busy gift-wrapping station.

The estate’s Walled Garden will offer younger visitors a chance to follow the cheerful Festive Veggies spotter trail, encouraging families to explore together and enjoy wintry outdoor moments. For those looking for an extra special experience, book onto the Festive Mornings in the Mansion tour during early December to see the mansion come to life and hear the stories behind the Christmas displays.

Ring in Christmas at Shugborough with the Lichfield Cathedral Chorus, performing Christmas carols to welcome in the season and add a touch of musical magic for visitors.

Christmas at Shugborough is included within normal admission, although some events and tours do require booking, and have an extra charge. The estate will be open daily from 9am to 4pm, with the mansion opening 11.00-15.30.
