Castle Classics returns to Newcastle-under-Lyme on Saturday 28th March
Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre will host Castle Classics on Saturday 28th March, as the popular classic and retro vehicle show returns for its spring edition.
Delivered by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID and supported by The Red Haired Stokie, Envy Autos Ltd and 6 Towns Radio, the event will see the Ironmarket and High Street transformed into a showcase of motoring heritage, bringing together vehicle owners, enthusiasts and visitors from across Staffordshire and beyond.
Up to 120 vehicles are expected to take part, representing more than a century of automotive history. From early 1900s models through to modern classics of the 1990s and early 2000s, the event offers a diverse display of design and engineering, all set within the heart of the town centre.
Castle Classics is designed as a free, family friendly daytime event, supporting footfall and encouraging visitors to explore Newcastle-under-Lyme’s retail, hospitality and independent business offer while enjoying the vehicle displays.
Vehicles will be judged across five categories: Best in Show, Show & Shine, Most Unique, Best Classic and Best Retro, with awards presented from the 6 Towns Radio stage on the Ironmarket at 2:30pm. All registered exhibitors are automatically entered into the competition and on arrival, will receive a Castle Classics branded air freshener and commemorative car sticker as part of their entry.
Charl Pearce, Newcastle-under-Lyme BID Manager, said:
“Castle Classics has quickly established itself as a key date in our events calendar. It creates a strong visual presence in the town centre and attracts a wide audience, from dedicated collectors to families enjoying a day out. Events like this are an important part of our wider programme to drive footfall and showcase Newcastle-under-Lyme as a welcoming and vibrant place to visit.”
Mark Davies, who exhibited at the October event says:
“It’s great to see such a wide range of vehicles all in one place and to have the chance to chat with other exhibitors throughout the day. The town centre setting makes a real difference — you’re not just in a field somewhere. There are plenty of places to grab a coffee, have a wander and enjoy the atmosphere, and the public engagement is always excellent.”
Entry is £4 per vehicle and pre registration is required. With strong attendance at previous events, those wishing to take part are encouraged to book quickly to secure their space.
