CPRE Staffordshire to Host Inclusive Guided Walk for Staffordshire Day 2026

CPRE Staffordshire — the local branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England — is set to mark Staffordshire Day 2026 with a special guided walk designed specifically for people with visual impairments.

As the organisation celebrates a landmark year, the National CPRE centenary and CPRE Staffordshire’s 90th anniversary, this event forms part of its ongoing commitment to ensuring that Staffordshire’s countryside can be enjoyed by everyone.

An Inclusive Way to Experience Nature

The guided walk offers a peaceful, sensory-rich way to explore the outdoors, focusing on sound, texture and atmosphere rather than visual cues. By removing barriers to access, CPRE Staffordshire aims to highlight the importance of inclusive green spaces and to encourage more people to connect with the county’s remarkable landscapes — regardless of ability.

The route has been carefully selected with accessibility in mind and will be led by experienced CPRE Staffordshire volunteers. The walk will begin at the Ramblers Retreat in Dimmingsdale, taking a gentle 4–5 mile route through the beautiful valley before returning for a light lunch.
