Secret Staffy menu launches for one week only
Food lovers will be able to get their hands on limited-edition food and drink creations by requesting a ‘Staffy Special’ at selected restaurants, pubs and cafes across Staffordshire next week.
The Staffy Trail’s ‘Foodie Week’, running from 13 to 19 June, will see popular food and drink spots serving up limited-edition menu items available for one week only, as part of the Secret Staffy Menu.
The week forms part of the Staffy Trail, delivered by the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) in partnership with Staffordshire County Council.
The Staffy Trail has already been explored by an estimated 6,000 people, generating up to £180,000 for Staffordshire’s visitor economy and encouraging people to discover new places, attractions and businesses across the county.
As part of the Secret Staffy Menu, trail-goers will have the chance to uncover themed cakes, special cocktails, unique drinks and other limited-edition treats inspired by Staffordshire’s newest tourism mascot.
Amy Walsh, owner of CupACha, the award-winning tearoom on North Walls in Stafford, is launching a new product for the Staffy menu, and is offering a major discount for intrepid trail-goers.
She said:
We’re so pleased to offer Staffy trailers our new Pistachio Chocolate Melt – a beautiful hot chocolate that made with real chocolate and at a special price too. It’s creamy and even comes in a Vegan option too.
We’re also offering Staffy trailers 10% off our breakfast and lunch menu for the whole week. A great way to charge up for the Staffy Trail adventure!
We really think that the Secret Staffy Menu is a fantastic celebration of the trail and also the creative food industry we have right here in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.”
The county council hopes that Foodie Week will encourage even more people to explore the trail, discover new places and support local businesses while enjoying a taste of Staffordshire.
Robin Hall, Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said:
The Staffy Trail is all about exploring Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, and Foodie Week adds another reason to get involved.
This exclusive Secret Staffy Menu give people the chance to discover somewhere new, support local businesses and enjoy a taste of what makes Staffordshire special.
We’ve already seen thousands of people taking part in the trail and spending money with local businesses, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more visitors during Foodie Week.”
People wanting to access Staffy’s Secret Menu need to show the Staffy Trail digital app or a printed trail map and ask for the ‘Staffy Special’ to order.
