Keele University celebrates national league table success

Keele University is celebrating a strong performance across two major national university league tables, with a total of 12 subjects ranked among the Top 10 in England in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027 and the Guardian University Guide 2027.

The latest rankings highlight Keele’s strengths across a broad range of disciplines, particularly in health, science and social science subjects, reflecting the University’s commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience, excellent teaching, impactful research and strong graduate outcomes.

In the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027, five subjects at Keele were ranked among the Top 10 in England:

• Radiography
• Pharmacy and Pharmacology
• Nursing
• Medicine
• Forensic Science

The Guide ranks university courses using measures including teaching and research quality, graduate prospects and student experience.

Meanwhile, the Guardian University Guide 2027 placed nine Keele subjects in the Top 10 in England:

• Midwifery (3rd)
• Children’s Nursing (5th)
• Forensic Science (6th)
• Mathematics (6th)
• International Relations (6th)
• Veterinary Science (6th, Harper & Keele Veterinary School)
• Pharmacy (8th)
• Medicine (9th)
• Philosophy (9th)

The Guardian University Guide assesses universities on a range of indicators, including student satisfaction, continuation rates, value added and graduate career prospects.

The results mean a number of Keele subjects achieved Top 10 rankings in both league tables, including Forensic Science, Pharmacy and Medicine, demonstrating their consistent excellence across different measures of university performance.
