10 Charities Share £11,000 from Knot a Sports Day 2026

Ten local charities have received a share of £11,000 from the third Knot a Sports Day, which took place at the University of Staffordshire on Friday 12th June 2026.

Staffordshire’s biggest team building day saw over 250 people from different businesses come together for a traditional sports and team building day competing in various sporting tasks including an obstacle course, go karts and powerball.

Accountancy and business advisers DJH were crowned the winners, receiving the coveted bespoke winner’s trophy in a ceremony at the end of an unforgettable, fun-packed day.

Funds raised will be split between 10 local charities, including Gingerbread Family Support, The Alice Charity, The Hubb Foundation, Port Vale FC Foundation, Stoke City FC Foundation, Brake, North Staffs Linkline, Horizon Fund, Symmetrical Staffs and AED Donate.

Fiona Hawkins, managing director of Plinkfizz and one of the event’s organisers, commented:

“We’re delighted to support so many worthwhile charities with Knot a Sports Day. £11,000 is an incredible amount, and we’d like to thank all the organisations who have donated and supported.

“We’d also like to thank all the participants, sponsors and volunteers who have worked so hard to bring the event to life.”
