Staffordshire Ambassador Event

The Staffordshire Ambassador Network brings organisations and individuals together across the county to put Staffordshire on the map. We have an amazing story to tell, and such a lot to be proud of, but we all need to talk the place up, celebrate our successes; together we need to act as ambassadors for Staffordshire and get our story out there.
The visitor economy is a vital part of Staffordshire’s economic fabric. We have a rich cultural heritage, iconic landmarks and fantastic attractions, both large and small.
In our June Staffordshire Ambassador event, we’ll be paying a visit to the stunning Weston Park, shining a spotlight on just a few of the organisations and individuals who are evolving their offering to deliver unique visitor experiences that celebrate and cherish Staffordshire.
We’ll be exploring:
- The story of how Weston Park has evolved its offering for visitors while continuing to celebrate its heritage and uniqueness
- How Cannock Chase National Landscape is managing the delicate balance of cherishing one of England’s National Landscapes and the inevitable challenge of ensuring sustainable tourism in such a popular visitor destination
- Creative placemaking; the role that artwork and murals can play in re-imagining spaces within communities
- How Staffordshire fine-dining restaurant, the Boat is leading the way in sustainability and innovation through its micro-farm
Presentations will be followed by a Q&A with all of the speakers, chaired by Charlotte Cain, Visitor Economy Partnership Development Manager, Enjoy Staffordshire
Following the event, guests will have the opportunity take a self-guided tour of the stunning rooms and collection of Weston Park House.
Confirmed event speakers:
- Colin Sweeney, Weston Park
- Ian Marshall, Cannock Chase National Landscape
- Tom Edwards, We Are Culla
- Liam Dillon, The Boat
