DPC Accountants and Apprentice Ella Beech Celebrate Double Win at West Midlands National Apprenticeship Skills Awards 2025
Stoke-On-Trent based DPC Accountants, part of the Sumer group, is proud to announce a double victory at the National Apprenticeship Skills Awards 2025 (West Midlands). The firm has been named The BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year, while apprentice Ella Beech has been recognised as The Amazon Intermediate Apprentice of the Year. Both DPC and Ella will now have a shot at the respective National awards.
The awards were presented at today’s regional ceremony, attended by Nick Wright (Director), Rachel Hughes (People & Culture Manager) and Ella herself, who had the honour of collecting the trophies.
Ella, a Level 2 AAT Accounts and Finance Apprentice, has already made a remarkable impact since joining DPC. Earlier this year she was named Employee of the Quarter, recognised for her consistent support to colleagues under pressure, dedication to improving client outcomes, and her proactive, can-do approach to learning and development.
DPC has a long-standing commitment to apprenticeship development, working closely with local colleges and welcoming a new cohort of apprentices each July. Under the guidance of People & Culture Manager Rachel Hughes, the firm has developed a holistic training and support process that ensures apprentices are equipped with the skills, tools and confidence they need to succeed.
Speaking on the win, Managing Partner Michelle Coates said:
“I am incredibly proud of both DPC as a whole and Ella as an individual. These awards are a real testament to our commitment to training the accountants of the future – and long may it continue.”
At DPC, investing in the next generation of accountants is central to building a strong pipeline of future talent, ensuring the profession continues to thrive in Staffordshire and beyond.
