Fast-growing printer company expands operations with move to Silverdale Enterprise Centre
A Newcastle-under-Lyme based business specialising in printer repairs and sales has found room to grow at one of the county’s dedicated enterprise centres.
CDS Printer Solutions has moved into a unit at Silverdale Enterprise Centre – one of Staffordshire County Council’s network of eight centres designed to support small businesses with affordable, flexible premises and on-site support.
Founded seven years ago by Cath Fearn and her husband Shay Newman, CDS supports companies across the region with everything from printer sales and repairs to hard-to-source spare parts and specialist services for pharmacies.
As their reputation and customer base have grown, so too has the need for more space, prompting the move from their previous small upper-floor office in Chesterton to a more practical bigger unit.
Cath Fearn, Director at CDS, said: “We’re delighted to be moving into Silverdale. It gives us the space and facilities to keep growing and improving.
“We’ve always been committed to helping local businesses keep their printers running smoothly, and this move allows us to broaden our range of services.”
From their new unit, CDS continues to work with major printer brands – including HP, Brother, Zebra and Lexmark – helping businesses extend the life of their machines, cut down on waste and avoid costly replacements.
Their move is already making a difference to the way they work, with a bigger workspace to manage repairs and refurbishment, room to store parts and consumables and a professional base to welcome customers.
Martin Murray, Staffordshire County Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said: “It’s fantastic to see a business like CDS Printer Solutions using one of our enterprise centres to expand and meet growing demand.
“Our centres exist to give small businesses a strong foundation to build from and CDS is a great example of how that support helps businesses grow, creates jobs and delivers specialist services across the region.
“Staffordshire – at the core of the country – is the beating heart of enterprise and opportunity, making it the ideal place to start a business.”
The county council’s eight enterprise centres provide a range of affordable, flexible workspaces for growing businesses.
