Foxfield Railway scoops top award!

Dedicated volunteers at Foxfield Railway are celebrating after their railway was voted ‘Small Visitor Attraction of the Year’ following competition from other top attractions.

The accolade was announced at Enjoy Staffordshire’s glittering Tourism and Good Food Awards evening that took place on Thursday 3rd March at Keele Hall.

A Foxfield volunteer was able to accept this prestigious award on behalf of a whole team after 2 years of intensive hard work to deliver exceptional visitor experiences.

A spokesperson for the railway said, “The award is dedicated to all our volunteers who have worked tirelessly to bring the railway back to life following Covid uncertainty”

“Our volunteers work extremely hard to deliver our annual programme of events and it is very gratifying to see their work has been rewarded. It reflects the professionalism and commitment shown by our team who are now gearing up for the 2022 season.”

Focus now turns to the railway’s reopening season which begins with the Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea followed by the annual Classic Car Rally. Details of which can be found at: foxfieldrailway.co.uk
