Newcastle-under-Lyme Jazz & Blues Festival Returns for 17th Year this Summer

Newcastle-under-Lyme BID have announced that the annual Jazz & Blues Festival will be returning to the town centre for its 17th year this summer.

Over 40 artists will join the 3 day festival to perform in more than 15 local venues including Castletown Distillery, Ten Green Bottles, The Crossways and Artisan Tap over the weekend of 26/27/28th of July.

The announcement of the Jazz & Blues Festival is great news for the live music scene and venues in Newcastle-under-Lyme coming just weeks after the announcement of the return of local music event Lymelight Festival.

Organised by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, the Jazz & Blues Festival is set to bring additional footfall into the town centre to support local businesses, as well as fostering the growth of the already vibrant local music and live performance scene.

BID Manager Charl Pearce says: “We’re thrilled to announce the return of the Newcastle-under-Lyme Jazz & Blues Festival.  The Jazz Festival always makes for a great weekend and is popular amongst the public as well as the hospitality venues in the town.

Making the decision to move the event from May to July means that event goers will be able to soak up the sun in one of the many beer gardens in the town alongside the sound of fantastic live music.”

Sophie Wagstaff, General Manager at The Clubhouse says: “It was great to be involved in the return of the Jazz & Blues Festival last year. We had five fantastic bands on across the weekend and the atmosphere was fantastic!   We can’t wait to be a venue again for this year’s Jazz & Blues, it’s going to be bigger and better!
