NSCG appointed as a T Level Insight Hub to share sector expertise and best practice

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) has been appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) and the Association of Colleges (AoC) as one of only seven T Level Insight Hubs nationally, the only college in the West Midlands to receive this recognition.

The T Level Insight Hub programme has been designed to showcase sector best practice and provide support for other providers across the country who are developing and delivering T Levels. As part of this exciting initiative, NSCG will play a key role in helping to shape and strengthen T Level delivery nationwide, sharing its knowledge, experience and success in implementing these flagship qualifications.

As part of this initiative a number of NSCG staff have been selected to act as T Level Insight Hub Mentors across a range of subject areas. These mentors, sometimes known as “buddies”, will work closely with other colleges who are on their own T Level journey.

Drawing on their expertise, mentors will share insights into the T Level landscape, offer constructive feedback and provide valuable, practical guidance to colleagues across the sector.

Mark Kent, Director of Professional Services at NSCG said: “We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as a national T Level Insight Hub. This appointment reflects the hard work, dedication and innovation of our staff in delivering outstanding technical education. We’re looking forward to working collaboratively with other providers to raise standards and support the continued success of T Levels across the country.”

Sarah Bradley, Adviser for T Level Programmes at the AoC said: “We are delighted to welcome NSCG as a newly appointed T Level Provider Insight Hub and look forward to a productive and collaborative partnership throughout the year.

“Through this role, NSCG mentors will not only support others but also continue to develop their own professional practice, strengthening networks and enhancing the overall quality and consistency of T Level provision.”

T Levels are technical qualifications designed in collaboration with employers to prepare young people for skilled employment, higher study or apprenticeships.

This announcement marks Celebration day of T Levels Week 2025 (13–17 October), a national celebration of T Level success stories and the impact of technical education across England.

NSCG currently offers a wide range of T Level pathways, with consistently strong student outcomes and exceptional employer engagement.
