Over 1300 Stoke on Trent College learners achieve GCSE success

Over 1300 GCSE resit students from Stoke on Trent College received their results today and are now progressing onto their respective diverse career pathways.

Mekdes Mideska, one of our young learners, who achieved outstanding grades is Health and Social Care, today secured a Grade 7 in English and Grade 5 in Maths. Speaking about her results, Mekdes said, “I enjoyed learning in a supportive environment of the College and developing my skills through my course. I am now able to go to university and study to be Health & Social Care professional.”

Adult learner Steven Smith achieved a high grade in GCSE Maths and is now heading to University of Liverpool, with an aim of becoming a GP. Steven stated, “I cannot thank my teachers enough whose support is allowing me to pursue my chosen career”.

Hassan Rizvi, Principal & CEO at Stoke on Trent College, has praised learners collecting their re-sit results today. Hassan said, “We’re extremely proud of our learners collecting their GCSE English and Maths re-sit results today, and are able to move on to their next steps in education/apprenticeships and/or employment.
