Staffordshire opticians excited to welcome new faces as two well established, local practices join forces

Two independent opticians in Gnosall and Stafford are merging their practices to safeguard the future of independent eyecare in the local community.

Mincher-Lockett Opticians merged their two practices in February and will continue to trade from the Stafford practice on Stafford Street.

The merger will allow patients to continue to receive high standards of eyecare from just a short distance away, with 7 miles separating the two practices.

All patient records from Mincher- Lockett Opticians in Gnosall, including contact lens details and supply, have been safely and confidentially transferred to the new premises in Stafford.

Patients from the Gnosall practice will also be able to take advantage of an extensive frame selection at their new location, as well as the latest state-of-the-art equipment, enhanced services and continued clinical excellence.

Nigel Terry, Director at Mincher-Lockett Opticians in Stafford, said: “All of the team are really excited for this merger, it’s a fantastic opportunity to combine two practices who really value offering a personalised eyecare service.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming the dedicated and loyal patients of the Gnosall practice and, as they will be seeing some familiar faces, we can guarantee their welcome will be a warm one.”

Established in 1969, Mincher-Lockett Opticians opened as a family-run, independent business and has since developed strong relationships with patients in and around the Staffordshire area.

The original owners opened their second practice in the neighbouring village of Gnosall to further care for the eyes of the local community, providing clinical excellence and unparalleled standards of service.

Joyce Terry, joint Director at Mincher-Lockett Opticians, added: “Merging our Gnosall and Stafford practices will ensure that our patients will continue to receive an excellent level of eye care at a practice that is just a short drive away, with the added benefits of some fantastic facilities.
“As we have a close working relationship with the team at Mincher-Lockett Opticians in Stafford, we know that they share our high values and ethics and we trust that they will continue to provide the high standard of care that our patients expect.
“We’d also like to thank our patients for their loyalty and patience over the last year and we’re really committed to rewarding that by providing the best possible service at Stafford practice.”

Mincher-Lockett Opticians in Stafford are continuing to provide sight tests, contact lens fittings and aftercare to patients.

Dependant on individual patient’s locations, they are also welcome to attend one of their sister practices for their eye care and examinations, including Carolyn Parker Optometrists in Penkridge and Malcom Gray & Associates Opticians in Eccleshall.
