The Moat House Reimagined: A New Chapter in Staffordshire Dining

The Moat House, a well-loved destination in the heart of Staffordshire, is entering a fresh new chapter. On 18th September, the historic venue will unveil a reimagined, more informal dining experience, designed with community at its core.

Bringing together its bar and restaurant into one cohesive, welcoming space, this new chapter for The Moat House offers a relaxed and modern space where everyone feels at home. The menu blends seasonal, ingredient-led cooking with the comforting British classics the venue is known for — all delivered with the same warm, independent spirit.

“This isn’t a reinvention, it’s a reimagining,” says Emily Lewis, Operations Director at The Moat House. “We’ve streamlined what we do to focus on relaxed, flavour-led food and a space where guests feel instantly welcome. It’s still us, just more in tune with how people want to dine today.”

Guests can expect:

  • A unified, informal dining experience with no separation between bar and restaurant
  • Dishes that hero British ingredients, local sourcing, and bold seasonal flavour
  • A refreshed interior that balances tradition with modern warmth

The Moat House re-imagined officially opens on 18th September. Bookings are now live at https://moathouse.co.uk
