Visit Lichfield’s Christmas city tours programme
Everyone’s invited to get into the festive spirit with a choice of Christmas-themed city tours presented by Visit Lichfield.
The line-up starts with Discover Christmas in Lichfield taking place on Sunday 28 November at 1.30pm. The tour leads up to the Christmas light switch on, which is on the same day and not to be missed!
For a creepy festive tour, next on the list is Lichfield’s Ghostly Christmas, which is running on Friday 10 and 17 December at 7pm. Hear spine-tingling gruesome and ghostly tales with a festive twist.
Find out about the history of Christmas traditions on the Christmases Past tour on Wednesday 18 December at 6pm.
Wrap up warm and bring a torch to hear fun festive stories and facts and join in with some carol singing on the Discover Christmas in Lichfield with Carols tour on Sunday 18 December at 6pm and Wednesday 22 December at 3pm.
For under 12s and their families, Visit Lichfield’s Christmas Stocking Filler Tour is back for 2021. It includes fascinating stories about the origins of Christmas traditions and wishing city businesses a Merry Christmas while collecting traditional stocking fillers along the way. Taking place on Thursday 23 December at 3pm, it costs £6 each or £16 for a group ticket which is for two children and one adult over 18.
Finally, there’s the Discover Lichfield on New Year’s Eve tour on Friday 31 December at 2pm to top off the festive themed tours.
Councillor Iain Eadie, Cabinet Member responsible for Visitor Economy, said:
