Keele subjects climb in global rankings

Keele University subjects have been recognised among the world’s best in the Times Higher Education World Rankings 2021.

Eight of Keele’s subjects have been ranked, with Psychology reaching the Top 150, up from last year’s already impressive Top 175 position.

Education ranked in the Top 250, climbing 50 places, and Social Sciences maintained its spot in the Top 250.

The University has seven subject areas featured in the rankings overall, including Life SciencesPhysical SciencesArts and Humanities, and Clinical and Health.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 for specific subjects use the same rigorous and balanced range of 13 performance indicators as the overall World University Rankings.

Professor Mark Ormerod, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost, said: “I’m delighted by our significantly improved performance at subject level across the majority of our academic disciplines in this year’s THE World University Rankings. This success reflects our improving research metrics and reputation and Keele’s increasing international profile and reputation. The further improvement in Psychology’s global ranking to be Top 150 is particularly impressive.”
